New Exhibits to Open at Dickinson Museum Center in 2017
Post Date: May 19 2017

dickinson_8029_lr.jpgThe Dickinson Museum Center in Dickinson will feature new exhibits in 2017. A number of these new displays are now open to the public, with more becoming available later in the year.
A Timeline of Dickinson History exhibit is located in the Joachim Regional Museum, where guests have the opportunity to view the local community at various stages in its development over past decades.
Tourists can learn about typography by visiting the museum’s Augmented Reality Sandbox, and will have the opportunity to get a closer view of the world through the museum’s Hand Held Microscope exhibit.
Opening to guests in the month of June, the Dinosaur Museum will offer an ‘egg-citing’ look at Dinosaur Eggs and Babies. The feathered, life-like dinosaur models of the Acheroraptor and Mononykus will be the featured stars of the forthcoming Claws exhibit, which will open in August, and the Triceratops Skull is scheduled to debut on the gallery floor in September.
The Dickinson Museum Center will be open seven days a week between May 30th -  September 3rd. Guests may tour the Dinosaur Museum, Joachim Regional Museum, Prairie Outpost Park (as renovations allow), and the Pioneer Machinery Building. Hours of operation will be Monday – Saturday 9am – 5pm and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.
